Today was a beautiful Sabbath day! It was sunny and 12-15 degrees Celsius which is about 50-55 degrees Farinheit. It's been that way for the past week and the heather, crocuses and daffodils are blooming. I also noticed today that there are buds on my tree that are getting ready to open.

We have a church close to us that just won the 2007 NAD Most Innovative Church award and I attended this church today to sing. Their theme for this year is "Just walk across the room." In other words walk across the room and talk to the person across the room. Many times this is something that many of us find very hard to do. Their members are being challenged to do this so they make new friends. Their focus is on Friendship Evangelism. The sermon was excellent and I think I might just have to 'walk across the room' this week and make some new friends. As the pastor said, it may take weeks, months, or even a year to get to the point in a friendship where a person is ready to hear about Jesus. When you look at the life of Jesus you will see that he did not speak to a person about spiritual things until they were at the point in the friendship where they were ready to discuss spiritual things. We too can learn from His example and just love someone and care about them as Jesus did and when they are ready to hear about spiritual things, it is then that we talk about Jesus.

WELL it sounds like you a nice sabbath I also had a
surprise when I woke up sabbath morning.
I looked out my window and there was snow that covered
the ground. SO i went out side and yes there was snow all
over my truck window and wind shield.
maybe 1/2 in all.
so I HAD a white sabbath
but the temperatures rose and by the time i got out of
church most of snow was gone.

that is about the 3rd or 4th time it snow here

not much winter here so far but i have seen it get
real cold and freeze in APRIL HERE

Well, we could get snow here yet. Usually we have our last storm come in the second week or March. But....that is only 2-3 weeks away. The reason I know that is because we used to have our Singles Retreat that weekend and it affected our attendance several times. So we moved our retreat to the beginning of May.

Anyway, in the meantime we are experiencing Spring and we are very happy! The next couple of days it is supposed to get up to 15 Celsius. (It was supposed to rain today but, it is bright and sunny out with hardly a cloud in the sky.) Very Happy
