Once again I have a cold (or asthma) not sure which. They want me to lead the singing of Irish songs at supper Friday for the Irish Stew Supper in the complex in which I live. So...I went to the grocery story and tonight I am torturing myself by eating two cloves of garlic on a piece of toast, one lemon and will sweat it out in a hot tub of water. Will it work? After eating all that 'healthy' stuff, it just might! Very Happy Very Happy

I know that as kids my parents would have us eat a piece of toast on Saturday nights to keep us healthy. If we has a cold they would also have us take a foot or sweat bath. And were we ever healthy! I was never to a doctor until I was in college and away from home.

So........just what do you do when you have a cold or other illness? Anything special?

WELL sorry you are sick but it sounds like you
have a the old remedies you need

most the time i take hot and cold showers but some
times i take robitussin cough medicine

when i was still married to my X wife the nurse told her
that robitussin is safe for pregenet women.

I've heard of robitussin but, have never taken any.

Since I moved into this house with all the old smoke, I've never been sick so often in my life before. The moral of the story is, don't move into a house with old smoke. You might just have the same reaction.

Today, I'm much better. Ate a lemon this morning but, not the garlic. I'll do that tonight. Have to wait....I can still taste the garlic I had last night! Smile

Today, I am warning everyone to stay away from me!
DARLENE

I am glad you are feeling better

Me to. Thanks. I think I'll even be able to sing tomorrow night without coughing. But....it's been another evening of garlic and lemon. I do enjoy garlic and lemon but, definitely not in these amounts. Sad
I made it through leading the singing but, I did cough three or four times. Sure don't like eating that strong garlic though. Love garlic but not so much of it at once! Burns all the way down Tongue
DARLENE

WELL I am glad you made it through the singing

as for the garlic if it burns all the way down just
think that the germs are getting burn up also
