NAD Adventist Single Adult Ministries : Forum

Today I drove for 8 1/2 hours and am now sitting in a motel in Golden, BC. And....I even got in some shopping in Kamloops. Found just what I needed.

I'm on my way to do a Children's Ministries Weekend Retreat in Alberta.

The roads were very good most of the way but, going over the Cocquhalla sumit the roads were snowy and slush. Several places it was snowing (but not staying on the road). My blessing today was the safe trip. Tomorrow I will go on to the Alberta Conference camp where the retreat is taking place. I am trusting that God will help me present some information that will be beneficial to the leaders who are coming. It's His work so I know He will give me the wisdom, etc.
Tonight I still have a couple of jobs to do in preparation. So, I won't be on the forum for long.

My workshop is over and it went well. Today, I spent time with my family in Lacombe and now I'm sitting in my sister's house in Clive, Alberta. Need to hit the hay as I'll be leaving early tomorrow morning to drive back home. It will be about a 13 hour drive and I'm hoping the roads will be clear and dry. Hope not to run into any new snow so I can make good time. Talk to you once I'm home.

I'm back, safe and sound. I left at 6:30 a.m. this morning and got back at 5:30 p.m. BC time which means that it took me 12 hours. The roads were dry most of the way except for about 20 miles where it was snowing and staying on the road.

It's now 6:30 p.m. BC time (I think ) and I'm ready for bed after this long, long day!
