Well, I'm not sure you can call this a blessing but, in a way it is.
Last night disaster struck in Abbotsford. 40 youth were hurt, 3 seriously. They were at a sold-out church rock concert where they were dancing near the front of the stage while a band was playing. The program had just begun when the portion of the floor near the sate caved in. The church is a very large one but, they say the floor couldn't hold that large number of people though they have had that many in there several times before.
The reason I put it here is because the church is located just across the street from the conference office where I work. I've been there several times. It is a nice Minenite (can't spell it!
) church. In fact this past Christmas our office office staff attended their Christmas musical. And, their church school, Abbotsford Christian School, is just beside where I live.
So the reason I put it here under blessings is because no one was killed and many more could have been injured but, weren't. God is good!
