Here's a great idea to keep kids entertained and occuppied during their free time - especially during the summer holidays! And also a good way to keep them away from the television set.
Fill a box or trunk with some of the items listed. After a quick change, you can become a bride, a travel agent, a fireman, or even Superman!
- white coat (doctor, dentist, or scientist)
- dark coat and hat (policeman or mailman)
- raincoat and high boots (fireman)
- nylon netting (princess, bride, or vallerina)
- towel or cape (Superman)
- glitzy evening wear - artificial flowers
- old-fashioned clothes - wigs
- housecoat - purses
- wild ties - sunglasses
- belts/scarves - jewelry
- gloves - an umbrella
- a variety of hats - a cane
- shoes/boots - masks
- aprons - etc.
Extras for role-playing - play money, old cheque books, travel
brochures, doctor kit, toy microphone,
plastic dishes, etc.
You might have some of these on hand, or why not go to Value Village or Salvation Army thrift stores.
