1. Ron Lindsey, Treasurer of the Hawaii Conference, has lost his battle with cancer. He past away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at the Kansas Avenue Adventist Church, Riverside, California.
2. Mark Johnson, Secretary of the British Columbia Conference, was elected President of the Alberta Conference. Bill Olson, the president of the Alberta Conference, had announced his retirement.
3. Ron Clouzet, NAD Ministerial Director, is conducting a field school for Andrews University, in Raleigh, NC. 20 people have been baptized, and another 30 are preparing to be baptized.
4. James Joiner died Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Ooltewah, TN. For nearly 23 years he was an editor of publications produced by the GC departments of Youth Ministries and Children's Ministries, including Youth Ministry Accent and MV Kit. Services are scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2008, in Chattanooga, TN.
