I think that we probably got our interpretation from looking at the life of Christ. Was he married? No. Did he live with a spouse? No. Yet, his life was very full. He focused on His mission of dying for us and saving the world. Can we not focus on the mission that we have been entrusted with? Probably that is what we all should do.
